CVIJANOVIĆ QUESTIONS MOTIVES BEHIND BOSNIAK STAFF BLOCKING INFRASTRUCTURE LINKS TOWARD CROATIA AND EU
ISTOČNO SARAJEVO, DECEMBER 4 (SRNA) – The Serb member of the BiH Presidency Željka Cvijanović called on Bosniak representatives in joint institutions to explain to businesses, transport operators and citizens whose interests they are serving by blocking improved connectivity with Croatia and the EU.
Cvijanović pointed out that Bosniak personnel in joint institutions are once again obstructing connectivity and development, and that Sarajevo continues to keep BiH in economic and infrastructural isolation. "We remember how long they prevented the opening of the Bratoljub bridge that connects us with Serbia. Not to mention the joint energy and infrastructure projects between Serbia and Republika Srpska, which they have been blocking in every possible way for years", Cvijanović wrote on the social network X. She added that they have now come up with a new obstruction, that is blocking improved connections with Croatia and the EU. "Let them come out and explain to their own businesses, transport operators and citizens why they are doing this and whose interests they are protecting. It is certainly not in the interest of the people or the economy", Cvijanović said. The Governing Board of the Indirect Taxation Authority (ITA) of BiH did not adopt amendments to the Rulebook on Internal Organization, leaving the conditions unmet for opening the new border crossing Gradiška – New Bridge – Gornji Varoš, the ITA stated. SRNA found out unofficially that the vote against adoption came from the Board member appointed by the Government of the Federation of BiH, Zijad Krnjić, who requested that the item be discussed at the next session.
