CVIJANOVIĆ: BiH HAS NO SOVEREIGNTY

ZAGREB, DECEMBER 12 /SRNA/ - The Serb member of the Presidency of BiH, Željka Cvijanović, emphasized today in Zagreb that BiH lacks sovereignty as long as a foreigner can impose laws and decisions instead of domestic political leaders.

"One of the problems in BiH is that someone else is making laws instead of the domestic leaders. This was not envisaged in Dayton, and it does not exist anywhere else," Cvijanović said at the international conference "30 Years After Dayton: Opening the Path to Local Solutions." She says that BiH has definitely been and remains an experiment. "BiH has been treated experimentally. The Dayton Agreement does not state that the High Representative can make and impose laws. No one can convince me that a successful state can exist with such interventionism," Cvijanović added. She also recalled that without consensus, none of the three members of the Presidency of BiH can speak anywhere in the world, which is currently not the case.
