MINIĆ: FINANCIAL AND POLITICAL STABILITY OF SRPSKA ENSURED
BANJA LUKA, December 17 /SRNA/ - Prime Minister of Republika Srpska Savo Minić said that financial and political stability of Srpska has been ensured in the previous period, despite complex geopolitical circumstances and the fact that unplanned elections were held during this time.
"We regularly serviced our obligations. We took over a serious budget, the largest to date. This includes increases for pensioners, education workers, cultural workers and, most importantly, the largest increase so far for veterans," Minić said today at the seat of the Government of Republika Srpska in Banja Luka, after presenting the results marking 100 days of work. He said that the culmination of these efforts is that the issue of veterans' status will be resolved permanently through systemic solutions and legislation. "We have agreed that this will be completed no later than February next year. By the end of this week, we will draw up a protocol to permanently resolve this issue and ensure that all those who fought for Republika Srpska are duly respected," Minić stressed. He said that the Government is entering 2026 with optimism, planning economic growth of 2.6 percent. "Republika Srpska has this trend and we can plan accordingly. We are pursuing a responsible fiscal policy. As you can see from the budget projections, the deficit does not exceed three percent of GDP," Minić noted. Minić emphasized that significant work has been done in the previous period, despite elections that no one wanted. "We held Government sessions in Trebinje and Brod, and the next one will be in Sokolac. The most important thing is to talk to people. We should not learn how people live from the media, from the authorities or the opposition, but directly from them," Minić said. He stated that he strives not to divide citizens and local communities along party lines, which can be seen through projects, discussions with representatives of local communities and visits by Government members. "This Government is the Government of all citizens. That is evident from what we are doing," Minić concluded.
