BELGRADE, JANUARY 10 /SRNA/ – Serbia's Minister without Portfolio in charge of relations with the diaspora Đorđe Milićević told SRNA that it is important for Serbia and Republika Srpska, as well as for Serbs in general, to remain united in protecting historical facts and the truth that defines them as a people.

"Unity in defending the truth and our history is a prerequisite for a peaceful future," Milićević said. Speaking about cooperation between the institutions of Serbia and Republika Srpska, Milićević assessed that overall cooperation is good, substantive, and directed toward common goals. "The Memorandum of Cooperation, which the governments of Serbia and Republika Srpska signed at the Pan-Serbian Assembly in Belgrade on June 7, 2024, represents a clear example of a responsible attitude towards own people," Milićević said. He emphasizes that he sees the future of both Serbia and Republika Srpska in harmonized policies, shared visions, and strengthening ties with Serbs in the homeland and the diaspora. "Our common goal is to connect Serbs, to bring the diaspora closer to the motherland, and to make use of the potential we have outside it," Milićević said. He has noted that cooperation between Serbia and Republika Srpska is also reflected in concrete projects that proves that stability, peace, and economic development go hand in hand.
