BANJA LUKA, JANUARY 14 /SRNA/ – Renowned Serbian and international musician Slobodan Trkulja, the ethno group Dar, and young singer Danilo Milosavljević created a vibrant atmosphere in Banja Luka during the celebration of the New Year according to the Julian calendar.

Following the program held in front of the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour, a prayer service for a successful and blessed New Year was held at midnight. The large audience was greeted by City Manager Mirna Savić-Banjac, who extended her congratulations and expressed wishes for good health, peace of mind, and more reasons for joy and togetherness in the year ahead. "I would also like to sincerely congratulate the ethno group Dar and Danilo Milosavljević, who were excellent, while a special atmosphere was created by Slobodan Trkulja, a top-class artist who left a strong impression on all of us. We sincerely hope that he will continue to be a guest of our beautiful city in the years to come," Savić-Banjac said. She also expressed hope that the new beginning would be an opportunity to continue the development of Banja Luka through joint efforts. The Serbian, Russian and Georgian Orthodox Churches, Mount Athos, and the Jerusalem Patriarchate, which observe the Julian calendar, welcomed the New Year at midnight.
