BOJIĆ: SIGNIFICANT SUPPORT FROM GOVERNMENT OF SRPSKA THAT LAKTAŠI DESERVE

LAKTAŠI, JANUARY 15 /SRNA/ – Mayor of Laktaši Miroslav Bojić told SRNA that it is very significant that the Government of Srpska has allocated BAM 11,100,000 to this city for priority projects, emphasizing that, together with an almost identical amount to be allocated from the city budget this year, the investment cycle will exceed BAM 20 million.

"The City of Laktaši has not been a beneficiary of these funds over the past four years, and we believe we have deserved the funds that have been approved, given that the city's economy pays about BAM 300 million annually into the budget of Republika Srpska," Bojić said, stressing that claims by the opposition in Srpska that the largest share of these funds was "planned for local communities where repeat elections for the president of Srpska will be held" are therefore unfounded. Bojić pointed out that projects which have been prepared for the past two to three years will be implemented in Laktaši. "This amount will mean a lot to us, because without the assistance of the Government of Republika Srpska it is difficult to implement major investments," Bojić emphasized. Bojić said that investments in road infrastructure across the city will be a key priority. "It is planned to lay asphalt or reconstruct local roads, and by using part of the funds from the Government of Srpska we will also seek to widen some roads due to increased traffic volume. There are many roads, and the construction of pavements is also planned," Bojić said, adding that a promenade will also be built in Laktaši. Bojić also said that projects related to families, children and the elderly population will be implemented as well.
