KOVAČEVIĆ: KARAN’S VICTORY AND MINIĆ’S REELECTION WILL PRESERVE INSTITUTIONAL STABILITY

BANJALUKA, JANUARY 15 /SRNA/ – The goal of /Christian/ Schmidt, Sarajevo courts and politics, as well as the opposition from Republika Srpska, was to behead institutions and cause complete institutional instability in Republika Srpska, SNSD spokesperson Radovan Kovačević has stressed.

"That is precisely why Schmidt unconstitutionally imposed amendments to the law, and why the Sarajevo-based Court of BiH barely waited for the opportunity to overturn the electoral will of the people of Republika Srpska and seize the mandate from the legally elected president," Kovačević posted on X. He reminded that the plan then was for the opposition to run alone in the imposed early elections and usurp the position of president, who would immediately dissolve the National Assembly of Republika Srpska. He stressed that the final blow would have been delivered by the unconstitutional and anti-Serb Constitutional Court of BiH by disputing the legitimacy of the prime minister and the Government of Republika Srpska. "And they certainly would not have stopped there. They are not trying to weaken Republika Srpska in order to strengthen it, but to dismantle it. And abolish it. That is why they are making so much fuss now-because we have seen through them. With the victory of /Siniša/ Karan and the reelection of /Savo/ Minić, we will defend the institutional stability of Republika Srpska and cut off the underhanded attacks against it. Republika Srpska will prevail!" Kovačević said.
