SNSD'S VICTORY WILL BE BOOMERANG FOR REPUBLIKA SRPSKA'S ENEMIES
SARAJEVO, JANUARY 16 /SRNA/ - The Deputy Speaker of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH Nikola Špirić stated that all previous attacks on Republika Srpska, its institutions, and its President Milorad Dodik by the creators of such policies will come back like a boomerang through a major, perhaps the strongest, victory of the SNSD in this year's general elections.
"I believe this would also send the best possible message to the opponents and enemies of Republika Srpska," Špirić told SRNA. He expressed his confidence that voters, primarily Serbs in Republika Srpska, will give a fitting response to those who have been fueling and working toward instability within BiH, misusing the Central Election Commission /CEC/, the judiciary, the OHR, and the authority of the High Representative. Špirić noted that there will also be repeat elections for the President of Republika Srpska, but he does not expect that many things will change there. "If the CEC were up to the task and determined the election results instead of trying to dictate them, we would have had the confirmed outcome long ago and already know who the President of Republika Srpska is," Špirić said. He emphasized that the SNSD, together with its partners, will achieve a decisive victory and that Siniša Karan will be the President of Republika Srpska until this year's elections. "That is the narrative through which political Sarajevo has managed to lead the opposition from Republika Srpska. In other words, they are satisfied only with the defeat and the instability of Republika Srpska's institutions," Špirić said. He believes that if the opposition manages to break free from that grip, this year, and especially 2027, could be a year of Serb unity and a response to the difficult issues expected after the elections. "BiH is a guided country. It does not lead itself. Everything that embodies modern democratic nations must not reside in BiH. It must not hold positions of leadership," pointed out the Deputy Speaker of the House of Peoples. He emphasized that BiH is a country that confronts its own leaders and does not give them the support that would serve as a driving force for shaping relations both internally and externally. "So I am afraid that nothing will change this year, even though everyone is already in the starting blocks for the elections," Špirić concluded.
