BANJA LUKA, MARCH 16 /SRNA/ – The Republika Srpska Market Inspectorate conducted 130 inspections of liquid fuel prices and found in 55 cases that traders did not comply with the prescribed margins, resulting in fines totaling BAM 825,000, the Republika Srpska Inspection Affairs Administration told SRNA.

Based on other irregularities identified during inspections, related to the maintenance of business documentation, fines totaling BAM 23,200 were issued. Fines were issued, among others, to the companies Krajinapetrol from Banja Luka, Antunović AGS from Brčko, Nešković from Bijeljina, Hifa Petrol from Sarajevo, Nestro Petrol from Banja Luka, Brčko Gas from Brčko, and Eurobenc from Banja Luka. The Administration reminded that the Republika Srpska Government last week adopted a new decision on setting the margin applied when determining petroleum product prices. A decision was also made on setting margins in the trade of certain products, relating to basic foodstuffs, and its implementation will continue to be a focus of the inspectorate's work in the coming period. As emphasized, the market inspectorate continues to operate at full capacity with the aim of protecting the living standards of Republika Srpska residents. The Republika Srpska Administration calls on traders to adjust prices in a timely manner and adhere to the prescribed margins, warning that any violations will be strictly punished.
