SNSD: KREMLIN MESSAGE CONFIRMS WHO GUARANTEES HISTORIC, TRADITIONAL AND CLOSE TIES WITH RUSSIA
BANJA LUKA, SEPTEMBER 29 /SRNA/ - Today's meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin, President Milorad Dodik and Prime Minister Savo Minić is further confirmation that relations between Russia and Republika Srpska are at the highest possible level, SNSD said.
In a statement, SNSD reminded of the Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov's words that "relations between Russia and Republika Srpska are historic, traditional and very, very close", saying the statement left no room for doubt. "But there is something in his statement that resonates particularly strongly right now - in the week when Savo Minić becomes president of Republika Srpska, Peskov said: `You will remember that Putin regularly held meetings with Milorad Dodik. Now those contacts are continuing with Savo Minić as well.` They are continuing. They are not beginning - they are continuing. That is a word that speaks of continuity. Of trust. Of a relationship that does not start from scratch, but builds on what has been developed over decades", SNSD said. The statement added that when the Kremlin sends such a message, it makes clear, in SNSD's view, that Republika Srpska has a friend that understands its past, respects its present and sees its future, and knows with whom that future will be built. "SNSD thanks the Russian leadership for its consistent support for Republika Srpska, its institutions and its people. A friendship reaffirmed in this way needs no additional words. It speaks for itself", the SNSD party said.
