STEVANDIĆ: BEĆIROVIĆ'S MOVES DRIVEN BY ANTI-SERB SENTIMENTS AIMED AT UNDERMINING CONSTITUTION

BANJA LUKA, JULY 20 /SRNA/ - The Speaker of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska Nenad Stevandić said that the Chairperson of the BiH Presidency Denis Bećirović is attempting, driven by his Serbophobic dreams, to violate the Constitution and take property away from Republika Srpska.

Stevandić said that nothing Bećirović does comes as a surprise. "He lives in a completely Serbophobic environment; he has created some kind of BiH in which Serbs have no say and do not have Republika Srpska, do not have property, and in which he plays the role of a sultan, but those are his dreams. Reality says something completely different," Stevandić said, commenting on Bećirović's request to the Constitutional Court of BiH regarding the appointment of members of the Commission to Preserve National Monuments. Stevandić said that Bećirović is attempting to seek allies outside BiH in order to endanger someone within BiH. He added that this is a matter of political malignancy and a person who lacks empathy, a sense of togetherness, and an understanding that every nation should contribute to building a better and more united future. "I did not notice him speaking out when Serb returnees were attacked, while all of us speak out when someone attacks Bosniaks and Croats and, if necessary, we would defend the future, identity, security and human rights of Bosniaks and Croats with our lives. We do not see that this position of ours receives an adequate or equal response; instead, they mostly remain silent when Serbs are threatened," Stevandić said. Stevandić said this happens because they are promoters of a policy that seeks to undermine and deinstitutionalize Republika Srpska on a large scale, while publishing in the Official Gazette matters that have not gone through proper procedures or the Constitutional Court. "That is what is dangerous, because these people do not understand that their actions can lead to conflicts with unforeseeable consequences. This is not in the interest of Serb, Bosniak or Croat politicians, nor of any of these peoples," Stevandić said in a social media post.
