SERBS AND JEWS BOUND BY COMMON HISTORY, BUT ALSO FUTURE

BANJA LUKA, SEPTEMBER 1 /SRNA/ - The Serbs and the Jews are bound by a common history, but also the future, and that is why the cooperation should be deepened in all fields, said the Serb member of the Presidency of BiH Željka Cvijatović, who met the distinguished Israeli doctor and writer Iddo Netanyahu today in Banja Luka.

"Iddo was in our city on the occasion of promoting his book about the heroic action in Entebbe and his brother Jonathan, who died in the action. The story of sacrifice and courage that this book carries is something that our people know and understand very well," said Cvijanović. She thanked Iddo, the brother of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, for his visit, noting that they had a heartfelt conversation, and that such meetings have a great importance. "I want you to know that you are always among friends here, and that you are always welcome!" Cvijanović said on X. The book "Yoni's last battle: the rescue operation in Entebbe, 1976", by Iddo Netanyahu, which talks about the strong historical experience and awareness and action of the community in difficult and uncertain situations, was promoted last night in Banja Luka.
