SRPSKA PROPERTY CANNOT BE DEREGISTERED, SERB-OWNED PROPERTY IN FBiH IS BEING DEVALUED

BANJA LUKA, JULY 23 /SRNA/ – Republika Srpska's property has been publicly registered and no one can remove it from the registry, while Serb-owned property in the FBiH, including property belonging to the Serbian Orthodox Church /SOC/, is being devalued, President Milorad Dodik said.

Dodik recalled that Christian Schmidt had said he had drawers full of legislative solutions on state property that he could impose, but that he ultimately did not do so. "That is our victory. Republika Srpska's property is public property registered in the name of Republika Srpska, and no one can deregister it. The solutions they want to impose will never happen," Dodik told the press. He noted that no appealing narrative about the EU through the centralization of BiH could be imposed. "They first targeted the SOC property, which is the latest event in Bugojno. They are devaluing Serb-owned property throughout the FBiH. It is estimated that the property once owned by Serbs in the FBiH is worth more than 80 billion. Serbs suffered the greatest losses in Sarajevo, especially in terms of apartments," Dodik stressed. He assessed that the position of Serbs in the FBiH is poor, unlike that of Bosniaks in Republika Srpska, whom no one bothers. He also claimed that others were attempting to provoke tensions by displaying a wartime flag, which, he said, remains banned in Republika Srpska. "They want to impose a flag that is unacceptable to us," Dodik said, adding that someone carrying the Republika Srpska flag in Sarajevo would, at the very least, have their head smashed. Dodik welcomed Republika Srpska's success in encouraging certain investigators from the United States to come to the region, stressing that they will not stop in Derventa. "Our main goal is for them to come to Sarajevo," he said. He stressed that Srpska respects the letter and the numbers of the Dayton Peace Agreement, under which it has 49 percent of the territory of BiH and Serbs are recognized as a constituent people with guaranteed rights. "We respect that. Everything beyond it, we do not," Dodik said.
