NOVI GRAD, JULY 25 /SRNA/ – Twenty-three-year-old pianist Nikola Đorojević from Novi Grad has completed his fourth year of studies at the prestigious Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory with the highest grades, and he has around one thousand concerts behind him.

Đorojević, who has played the piano since the age of six, will remain in Novi Grad until the end of August, after which he will return to Russia for his fifth year of studies. Following that, he plans to pursue postgraduate studies in Europe. He told SRNA that his decision to study at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory was the right one, describing it as an institution with a very long tradition where many of Russia’s greatest composers and musicians studied. "I did not make a mistake. At the Tchaikovsky Conservatory, according to many, the third year is the most difficult. In the fourth and fifth years there are fewer general education subjects, and more attention is devoted to performance. These four years have passed quickly and have been filled with commitments. I believe that during this time I have developed greatly - both professionally and personally," Đorojević said. He added that this year was full of performances, solo recitals, and collaborations with opera singers and chamber ensembles. During his time in Russia, he has also been improving his knowledge of the Russian language, especially through reading classical Russian literature. He noted that he gives numerous performances in Russia every year, including class and department concerts, and that last winter he held a concert in Novi Grad with flutist Maša Maran, which was especially meaningful to him. "I am happy whenever I have a concert in Novi Grad, and I hope there will be opportunities for that in the future as well," said Đorojević, who hopes to perform as much as possible in the future and establish himself as a music educator.
