KOŠARAC: EU PRESSURE ON CARRIERS IS UNACCEPTABLE
SARAJEVO, SEPTEMBER 1 /SRNA/ - Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers Staša Košarac expressed his support for the protest by transport operators in BiH, stressing that the EU continues to mislead people, exert pressure and impose conditions.
"I fully support the transport operators’ protest in front of the EU Delegation headquarters in BiH. From day one, I have advocated holding protests precisely at that location," Košarac said. He stressed that transport operators are honest and hardworking people and that it is unacceptable for the EU to exert pressure on them and impose conditions. Košarac appealed to institutions at the level of BiH not to act as sycophants to EU representatives in BiH. "We work for our people, not for foreigners. Our people are dignified," Košarac posted on X. Transport operators from BiH held protests in Sarajevo yesterday, saying they would not give up their demand for a solution to the problem faced by professional drivers whose stay in Schengen Area countries is limited by the 90/180-day rule.
