ANTI-RUSSIAN HYSTERIA TURNING INTO ANTI-SERB CAMPAIGN IN THE BALKANS

MOSCOW, MARCH 19 /SRNA/ - Republika Srpska National Assembly Nenad Stevandić told SRNA that in his address before the State Duma in Russia, he affirmed the policy of all peoples having the right to political decision-making and property, noting that anti-Russian hysteria is turning into anti-Serb campaign in the Balkans.

Stevandić thanked the leadership of the Duma for having the opportunity to address and reflect on the history and future of Russian-Serb relations, but also on the overall relations in the world, which he pointed to as a great danger for future peace. "We affirmed the policy of every people and the residents having equal rights to their political decision-making, elections, and property," Stevandić pointed out. He said that the violation of international law by imposing the decisions by fake high representatives and challenging the rights to every nation must be ended. "The time of the multi-polar world has come. International acts will be passed differently, these acts will be respected in a different way, and international agreements will not be violated, as the Dayton Peace Agreement is being violated to the detriment of the Serb people," said Stevandić. He stated that he drew attention in his speech to the State Duma to the fact that Republika Srpska, Serbia and the Serb people rejected to participate in the anti-Russian hysteria, but that those who accept it demand to be rewarded with Serb territories and resources. "Anti-Russian hysteria has slowly turned into an anti-Serb campaign in the Balkans, where the possibility of survival of Serbs in Kosovo is reduced, the constitutional capacities of Republika Srpska are being destroyed, and paying anti-Russian hysteria to the detriment of Serbs is attempted," said Stevandić. He stated that he also referred to the future of relations in the world and the guarantees all the great powers have for the Dayton Peace Agreement, including the Russian Federation, Serbia and Croatia. "In order to preserve peace in the Balkans, it is necessary to respect each nation, its decisions and those elected by that nation, instead of imposing decisions, causing crises and bringing the region to the brink of war," Stevandić pointed out. Stevandić added that this visit to the Russian Federation also resulted in the signing of an agreement between the Duma and the Srpska National Assembly on the participation of five deputies from both sides in the friendship group. "The agreement was signed to expand inter-parliamentary and international cooperation, in the spirit of good relations and better solutions both in parliamentary practice and in mutual relations," pointed out Stevandić.
