INTIMIDATION OF PUBLIC WITH INVENTED RUSSIAN THREAT
SARAJEVO, AUGUST 11 /SRNA/ – Russia will continue to act with the aim of strict implementation of the Dayton Agreement, while participants of gatherings such as today’s meeting of the representatives of the “troika” with the ambassadors of the Quint countries intimidate public with a Russian threat they invented, the Russian Embassy in BiH announced.
As stated, that meeting is reminiscent of the old saying “looking for a black cat in a dark room, especially if it is not there.” “It seems that participants of such gatherings are scaring themselves and the public with a Russian threat they themselves have invented. Russia, as a permanent member of the UN Security Council and one of the guarantors of the General Framework Agreement for Peace in BiH, will continue to act with the aim of its strict implementation,” the Russian Embassy stated. It was emphasized that, in accordance with the Dayton Peace Agreement, Russia has not only the right but also the obligation to point out its violations, which it will continue to do responsibly and transparently. “We proceed from the fact that the main generator of instability and the threat to security in BiH is the illegitimate ‘high representative’,” the statement stressed. A meeting of representatives of the “troika” with the ambassadors of the Quint countries was held today in Sarajevo due to, as the participants of the meeting stated, alleged threats from Russia.
