DODIK: I BELIEVE NEW AGREEMENTS FOR FUTURE WILL BE MADE DURING THE MEETING WITH PUTIN

SOCHI, OCTOBER 2 /SRNA/ – Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik expresses confidence that new agreements for the future will be made during today’s meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Sochi.

SOCHI, OCTOBER 2 /SRNA/ – Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik expresses confidence that new agreements for the future will be made during today’s meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Sochi.

"We are going to discuss the current situation, our mutual relations, and analyze what has been achieved from previous agreements. I believe that new agreements for the future will also be made," Dodik told the press in Sochi, ahead of the plenary session of the annual meeting of the Valdai Discussion Club. He states that Republika Srpska is clearly an obstacle to the global interests of the collective West, which has been the case for decades. "Srpska was established during the breakup of the former Yugoslavia, and was recognized by the Dayton Peace Agreement. From the very first day the Dayton Peace Agreement came into force, Western powers began to undermine it and tried to build some imaginary BiH, which is not possible," Dodik said. He emphasized that the West continues to believe that this year is the one in which they should finally complete what they call unfinished business in the Balkans. "What happened in the former Yugoslavia was a training ground for what they intended to do in Ukraine with Russia, and everything they are doing today is very instructive for this region," Dodik stated. He stressed that it is a great honour for him to be in Sochi today and to attend the address of the Russian president, who, as he said, has something to say not only about the situation in Russia but also the world wide. "Russia is today a global power, a guarantor of the Dayton Peace Agreement, and it certainly has the legal and legitimate right to reengage in that process and to represent its interests, primarily those of the Russian Federation, which has always been objective for us," Dodik added. The president of Republika Srpska emphasizes that Russia is pursuing a just and sound policy, wishing it success in achieving all its goals in Ukraine. There is significant media interest in Sochi regarding President Dodik’s participation in this event.
