KOŠARAC: CONSTANT ATTACKS ON SNSD ARE POLITICAL DESPERATION OF THE "TROIKA"

SARAJEVO, JULY 29 /SRNA/ - Deputy Chair of the Council of Ministers Staša Košarac told SRNA that the degree of political desperation of the "Troika" is best reflected in their constant attacks on the SNSD, because it is evident that they have nothing else to offer to their increasingly shrinking electorate.

Košarac said that after misleading the public with mantras about how they would "scoop up SNSD officials with an excavator" and "sweep them with brooms," the officials of the "Troika" parties faced the reality that in Sarajevo they cannot decide anything without the consent of Republika Srpska. He stated that sustainable solutions can only be discussed once the fact is accepted that Srpska has a say in Sarajevo and that its voice must be respected. "/Edin/ Forto persistently boasts about securing aid for BHRT, unsuccessfully playing the role of a great leader. Loudly and proud, the `Troika` promised money from the budget of BiH institutions for both BHRT and the so-called cultural institutions. Of course, nothing will come of that, because the SNSD will never give its consent for it. There will be no money from the budget for those purposes, because Srpska has a say in Sarajevo," Košarac emphasized. He reminded that the funds granted to RTV BiH are part of CRA's /RAK/ accumulated surplus of revenue over expenditure and are intended exclusively for the improvement and development of communications. Košarac stated that these funds are part of a set of five interlinked decisions that unblocked a total of BAM 18 million for Srpska. "Thus, the `Troika` would not have secured even those funds for RTV BiH if it had not simultaneously voted to unblock 18 million BAM for Srpska. The greatest irony lies in the fact that from pompously `scooping us up with an excavator` and loudly announcing the political end of SNSD, the `Troika` actually became our ally and the best promoter of our policies," Košarac said. At the common level, SNSD has, as he stated, achieved everything that is in the interest of Srpska and the Serb people. "What has the `Troika` done? They spun in a vicious circle of political incompetence, persistently trying to pass off their own defeats to the Sarajevo public as political victories. They didn't even succeed in that," Košarac concluded.
